A classic Saint-Estèphe red wine from a vintage often described as "one of the region's greats". Produced by the same winemaking team as the prestigious third-growth Château Calon Ségur, it is frequently cited by critics as one of the best value wines of the 2009 Bordeaux vintage.
Aroma: A precise bouquet featuring red fruits like wild strawberry and raspberry, underscored by subtle notes of earth, licorice, and spice.
Palate: Medium-bodied with a "voluptuous and seductive" texture. It balances ripe dark fruit (cassis and cherry) with a stony minerality and firm, silky tannins characteristic of the Saint-Estèphe terroir.
Composition: A blend primarily of 62–72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, with some reports including a small percentage of Cabernet Franc.
