A highly sought-after grower Champagne made from 100% Pinot Noir. The "R22" indicates that the grapes were harvested in the 2022 vintage.
Nose: Layers of pear, kirsch, white flowers, and mint, with subtle hints of honey and salted caramel.
Palate: Rich and vinous with a fine mousse. It features red fruit forwardness (cherry and strawberry) balanced by a long, saline, and citrus-centric finish.
Style: Known for its "Bouchardian" style—lower pressure bubbles (around 4.5 atmospheres instead of the usual 6) which creates a more wine-like, textural experience.
Vineyard: Sourced from the 1.5-hectare Val Vilaine lieu-dit in Polisy, featuring 40-year-old vines.
Vinification: Produced using only the first press juice, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged for approximately 16 months on the lees in stainless steel.
Dosage: This is a no-dosage (Brut Nature) Champagne, highlighting its raw terroir and acidity.
Disgorgement: Bottles were typically disgorged in April 2024.
