The Cédric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Les Ursules Blanc de Noirs R20 is a highly sought-after, single-vineyard grower Champagne produced from 100% Pinot Noir. The "R20" designation on the label indicates that the wine was crafted from the 2020 harvest.
Nose: Aromas of jasmine, green apple, ripe pear, and minerals.
Palate: Layers of red-toned fruit, rose petal, cinnamon, and orange peel.
Structure: Precise and bone-dry with a long, intensely saline and mineral finish.
Producer: Cédric Bouchard (Roses de Jeanne).
Vineyard: Les Ursules, a tiny 0.9-hectare parcel of approximately 35-year-old vines in Celles-sur-Ource.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested, foot-trodden, fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, and bottled with zero dosage (non-dosé).
Aging: Aged for approximately 28 months on the lees and typically disgorged around April 2024.
