Bisson Vino Frizzante is a bone-dry sparkling wine made from 100% Glera grapes in the Veneto region of Italy. Although it is essentially a Prosecco by composition and origin, it is labeled as a "Vino Frizzante" because it is sealed with a crown cap instead of a traditional cork, which prevents it from using the official Prosecco DOC designation.
Prominent flavors of green apple, pear, and white flowers, alongside a subtle mineral or saline undertone.
Effervescence: As a "frizzante," it has lower bottle pressure than a standard spumante, resulting in softer, finer bubbles.
Region: Sourced from the Marca Trevigiana area within Italy's Veneto region.
Method: Produced using the Charmat (tank) method, where secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh fruit aromas.
Closure: The use of a crown cap is a deliberate choice by the producer, Bisson, to emphasize a casual, fresh style, even though it disqualifies the wine from the "Prosecco" label under Italian wine laws.
