The Alain Graillot Crozes-Hermitage 2022 is a benchmark Northern Rhône Syrah known for its aromatic complexity and balanced, low-alcohol style (typically 12% ABV). Produced from 30+ year old vines using whole-cluster fermentation, it is widely regarded by critics as one of the top expressions of the appellation.
Composition: 100% Syrah sourced from the stone-laden Terrasse des Chassis.
Palate: features core flavors of plum and red currant merged with savory elements like smoked meat, tobacco, and salty graphite.
Aging Potential: While drinkable now for its "adolescent exuberance," experts suggest it can be aged for up to 10 years.
