Suntory Haku Vodka is a premium Japanese craft spirit distilled from 100% Japanese white rice. Its name, Haku, carries a dual meaning in Japanese: "white" (hakumai), referring to the source grain, and "brilliant" (jyunpaku), a tribute to the craftsmanship behind its clear, luminous quality.
Nose: Soft and delicate with sweet, floral aromas of rice.
Palate: Rich and creamy; it gradually envelops the mouth with natural sweetness and a complex rice flavor.
Finish: Smooth and sophisticated with a lingering, pleasant sweetness.
Milling & Fermentation: The white rice is milled and polished, then fermented with rice koji to create a mash.
Triple Distillation: The mash is first distilled in pot stills in Kagoshima to create a rice spirit. It undergoes a second distillation through two different processes (pot and column stills) to balance flavor and volume.
Bamboo Charcoal Filtration: A proprietary Suntory method filters the spirit through bamboo charcoal. This process removes impurities and adds minerals, resulting in a notably soft, mellow character.
