Made from Gentiane lutea roots harvested in the Massif Central, macerated, and aged in Limousin oak casks.
Salers is a French gentian root-based aperitif with a 16% to 25% ABV, known for its bitter, earthy, and citrusy flavor profile. Produced in the Auvergne region since 1885, it is commonly enjoyed over ice with a lemon twist or in cocktails like the White Negroni.
Best served on the rocks with a squeeze of lemon, mixed with tonic or lemonade, or used as a substitute for vermouth or Campari in cocktails.
It is less sweet than its competitors and contains no artificial coloring.
