Del Maguey Chichicapa Single Village is a widely acclaimed mezcal produced in the village of San Baltazar Chichicapam, Oaxaca. Produced at an elevation of approximately 5,052 feet (1,540 meters) in a valley with a desert and tropical micro-climate.
Nose: Relatively light with notes of citrus, smoky agave, and earthy undertones.
Palate: Deep and complex with flavors of sweet almond, dried fruit, lime rind, and a touch of salinity. It is noted for being remarkably soft on the palate despite its high proof.
Finish: Long and smooth, featuring overtones of mint, bitter chocolate, and a developing smokiness.
