Elegant and balanced the wine shows cherry, raspberry, and strawberry flavors and aromas, spices like Szechuan pepper, black pepper, and nutmeg. There are subtle floral aromas as well. An earthy backbone holds the wine together. A versatile wine for food, a good match would be a filet mignon with a red wine reduction and mushrooms.
