Paumanok Festival Chardonnay 2015
|Appellation||North Fork of Long Island|
Wine EnthusiastDelightfully fresh and floral, this wine spotlights pristine mango and pineapple flavors. It's exuberantly fruity and forward yet crisply balanced, finishing long on a salty sea-spray note.
Wine Spectator Enticing creamed yellow apple and pear fruit notes mingle nicely, lined with a subtle salted butter note that keeps things on the fresher side. Nicely done. Drink now. 721 cases made.
Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Festival Chardonnay is unoaked and comes in at 12% alcohol. Easy and straightforward, this still has a clean, fresh feel and reasonable concentration for the level. It finishes with some crispness and just a touch of steel and stones. Overall, this is nicely done for the value end, a good party wine, porch-sipper or aperitif. It will pair well with lighter seafood dishes, but it won't hold up to stronger foods.
