The 2020 Gattinara Molsino is a dark, brooding Gattinara. Black cherry, plum, licorice, crushed rocks, lavender and spice all race across the palate. A wine of somber intensity, the 2020 is built for the long haul. Deep and beguiling, firm tannins enshroud the long, building finish.

The 2020 Gattinara Molsino initially seems incredibly fresh and minty, presenting a more angular profile, with rocky notes of iron-rich earth. Offering both ripe tannins and ripe structure, it feels elegant but has a more rigid backbone. That being said, it's going to take time to soften, but it's worth cellaring for those with the patience to do so. Drink 2026-2040.
