BARLOW BARROUGE 19 750ML barlow barrouge

This big, bold Cabernet Sauvignon blend is derived from the higher ground in the northern corner of our estate. This red fruit dominates Cabernet Sauvignon, grown for our Barrouge, and is lyre trellised to take advantage of the well-drained, sloping vineyards and the dominant terroir. The fruit is harvested for acidity and structure, not compromising the luxurious flavor of the fruit. The wine is aged three years, two in French Oak and a year in the bottle before release. 

The 2017 Barrouge has a beautiful cherry color that exhibits aromas of blackberry and cassis with hints of sweet vanilla and cocoa. The palate is complex, full of fruit flavors ranging from red cherry to black currants and ending with hints of spice. The wine finishes with concentrated but elegant tannins and with touches of coffee bean and dark chocolate flavors gained from the toasted oak.
