The 2019 Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots 1er Cru is elegant and surprisingly understated on the nose, like a couple of other growers' this year. It takes time to unfold and reveal crushed strawberry, blueberry and violet aromas, plus a little graphite in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and quite generous, and sleek toward the finish. This is a classy offering.
