Chateau Beychevelle Saint Julien 2000
|Region||France, Bordeaux, St. Julien|
If any wine could be described as beautiful, then Beychevelle is beautiful. Its flavors of liquorice and blackcurrant are smooth and opulent, well proportioned. The texture is rich, ripe and generous.
Wonderful floral and blackberry aromas follow through to a compressed palate of full-bodied tannins and ripe fruit. Yet very fine and silky on the palate. Best Beychevelle I have had in years. Best after 2009. 2,200 cases made.
