Château Cabrières Châteauneuf du Pape 2016
|Region||France, Rhone, Chateauneuf-du-Pape|
While the history of Chateau Cabrieres dates back to the 1400s, its modern era dates only from the mid-20th Century when it was acquired by the Arnaud family; it is today owned and managed by third-generation Agnes Arnaud and her husband Patrick Vernier. They have fifty acres of vineyard in Chateauneuf, five of which are planted to white varietals for a Chateauneuf blanc, and Cabrieres is one of the few Chateuneuf properties to have planted all thirteen grape varieties allowed under the laws.
Whiffs of balsamic vinegar, leather and charcuterie mingle into richly concentrated flavors of dried strawberry and blackberry preserves in this full-bodied, complex Grenache blend.
