2018 is a wine that favors origin expressive individuality, minerality, and palate complexity ahead of pure, pungent varietal aroma. A significant percentage of fruit from clay-rich soil has added an intense mid-palate structural component and additional overall complexity to this wine.

Domaine Daniel et Denis Alary Cairanne l'Estevenas Rouge 2016From a south facing old mountainside of blue/white clay-limestone soil, grapes are hand-harvested separately at their optimum maturity. Fermentation with only indigenous yeasts lasts 23 to 28 days. Grapes are sorted and separate vinification of different grape varieties General tasting - Blackcurrant fills a rich and explosive nose of bloody cured meat. A soft palate showing dark black fruits, mocha and chocolate, nicoise olive, and earthy tar notes. Well structured tannins enhance the body.
Velenosi Rosso Piceno Superiore Brecciarolo 2016A blend of 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese that boasts intense notes of red fruits, fresh violet flowers and spices on the nose. A dry style with notes of red plum, blackberry, dried strawberry, Italian herbs, balsamic, and subtle notes of espresso on the finish. It fits well with tomato pasta dishes, grilled meat, salumi, pizza and medium aged cheeses!
Cepa 21 Ribera del Duero Hito 2017Dark cherry red in colour, with an intense, well defined bouquet. A base of black fruits typical of Tempranillo, ripe, but not in excess, combines with subtle toasted and balsamic ageing notes. Well-structured in the mouth with ripe, rounded tannins and a long finish.
Domaine des Aubuisieres Bernard Fouquet Vouvray Le Petit Clos 2018Entirely hand-harvested and only indigenous yeasts used. Fermented and matured in stainless steel thermo-regulated vats. Soil: Clay-limestone with a vine age of 40 years on average. Nectarine & petrol aromas, ripe apple, papaya, melon and lime zest and a few of the flavors you will encounter on the palette.
