Rivers-Marie B. Thieriot Vineyard Chardonnay 2014
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard tastes like a Grand Cru Chablis with loads of crushed rock, oyster-shell notes, citrus oil, nectarine and a touch of honeysuckle. A cold-climate site, this tiny vineyard of 1.75 acres was planted with the Robert Young clone of Chardonnay in 1990. This full-bodied Chardonnay is an example of the complex Burgundian cool-climate Chardonnays that more and more producers are exploiting in Northern California. Drink it over the next 5-7 years, although it may last a lot longer.
