La Posta Tinto Red Blend 2017
Earthy plum and berry aromas include a fair amount of oak and tobacco, while this blend of Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah feels plump, with cutting tomato-like acidity and rubbing tannins. Wood-spice, pepper and baked plum flavors finish with mild black-fruit notes and stronger hints of clove and baking spices.
Bright ruby-red. Slightly inky, herbal, reticent nose is locked up tight compared to the Bonarda. On the palate, blackberry, blueberry and violet flavors are joined by an herbal quality, with slightly edgy acidity accentuating the impression of dryness. Finishes a bit tart and ungiving. Not a good showing for this bottle.
